  • Registration & Election: We handle all FTA portal work, including registering for VAT groups or Small Business Relief.
  • Annual Filing: We prepare and file your return, keeping the confirmation receipt on file for 7 years as required by law.

Frequently Asked Questions

It depends. Free zone businesses may qualify for a 0% Qualifying Free Zone Person (QFZP) rate on Qualifying Income — income from other free zone businesses or certain approved activities. However, any income from mainland UAE customers is taxable at 9%. The QFZP designation has strict conditions. We assess whether your specific activities qualify.

UAE CT applies to financial years beginning on or after 1 June 2023. For a calendar-year business, the first taxable period was 1 January to 31 December 2024. Tax returns must be filed and tax paid within 9 months of the financial year end. FTA registration is required regardless of whether tax is owed.

For free zone persons, Qualifying Income primarily includes income from transactions with other free zone persons and certain approved activities. For mainland businesses, there is no 0% rate. All taxable income above AED 375,000 is subject to 9%. Small Business Relief applies for businesses with revenue below AED 3 million, subject to conditions.

Penalties include AED 10,000 for failure to register, AED 500 per month for failure to maintain required records, and late payment penalties starting at 14% per annum on unpaid tax. Filing accurately and on time is significantly less expensive than managing a penalty and audit process.
